Molecular Core Facility
SCHEDULING ANNOUNCEMENT The Molecular Core Facility will be closing early on the following days: Friday April 22nd CLOSING at 3pm Wednesday April 27th CLOSING at 3pm Thursday April 28th CLOSING at 3pm Friday April 29th CLOSING at 3pm Please plan accordingly Sequencing Projects and qPCR plates should be at the core by 1pm on these days. We are in the process of trying to find fixes to problems with Sequence submissions, X1191.
The Molecular Core in room L7032 provides a number of services to the molecular biology research community that should make the performance of their research programs more efficient, convenient and cost effective. The major components are: Biological & Tissue Culture Reagents – The Molecular Core stocks and orders from multiple vendors that include Invitrogen, Qiagen, New England Biolabs, Biorad, Clontech and Applied Biosystems, Inc. SYNGENE G:Box - for UV imaging and chemi illuminecense imaging NanoDrop - a 1ul spectrophotometer for broad range (1.5ng/ul to 3000ng/ul) nucleic acid concentration determination. Promega Maxwell - can robotically help you with your genomic DNA and RNA extraction from cells and tissues. User Information & Registration All of the Molecular Core's transactions are computer based and increasingly we will be utilizing direct ordering through this intranet connection. Your responsibility is to obtain a User ID from the Molecular Core Staff and chose a Password that ensures that all transactions can be traced to their origin.
